Martina Leithe Colorio, aka Leithe Ruthven, was born in 1981 and started to make videos in 2000, after many years of painting, writing and costumes making.
She graduated in Art and Entertainment at the University of Ca' Foscari in Venice (Italy), and started to work as projectionist in a theatre. Then she decided to go on studying, and had a master degree in Digital Entertainment at the University of Turin, because of her growing passion for sfx and video compositing, and thanks to Senesi Michele.
Back to her hometown in the mainland of Venice in march 2005, she's joint the Controcampo Produzioni, a Production company specialized in technical and istitutional videos for big companies. Here she's been working as video editor, graphic artist and animator for a lot of movies and commercials for Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Diadora, Invicta, Mapei, Safilo eyeswear and many more.
In 2006 she's won a Mediastars prize as Art Director for the video "Griso 1100" a Moto Guzzi bike.
Then she also work as webmistress for Asian Feast (www.asianfeast.org) the first italian website dedicated to the asian movies and culture.
Apart from her work, she's a member of the "Cour des Anges", an artistical brotherhood dedicated to Fantasy and Fantastic art (http://digilander.libero.it/

). She also exposed a short video during Glasgow Worldcon in august 2005.
During her free time she loves to do everything, from drawing to sewing or writing novels or short stories. She also likes reading a lot of books, most of all folkloric tales and historical essays.
